There are many Hotels to choose from in the area, however your choice of excursions can affect where you stay. If you want to take many of the walking trips it is advisable to stay in one of the mountain or village Hotels. If you want to include the beach and town visits it is obviously better to stay in a coastal Hotel. We can advise  you on your choice  of Hotel once you tell us  which excursions you want to include  in your holiday. 

Hotel Akontisma "Ακόντισμα" 

Akontisma, lying 12km from the City of Kavala, is an exquisite place to stay to taste the Greek History and culture. The hotel is actually part of an ancient village known as Tserpendi until 1924. It was given to the Greek Government by 2 benefactors to host the refuges from the East Coast of Asia. The village has been mentioned in maps since 1750 and according to archaeologists the village was used since 500BC by the people of Island of Thassos as a base to move their products around the world. 

The small chapel above the traditional Greek Theatre is suitable for weddings, the restored “Octagon” restaurant, stone bar, outdoor taverna and the stone rooms all make up the historical and “moving back through the ages” atmosphere of this no ordinary hotel, which is part of a long standing traditional village restored to a luxurious and relaxing hotel.

You will find the stone rooms comfortable welcoming with a definite historic feeling to them, some of which are fitted with a fireplace, sauna or Jacuzzi.

The Octagon restaurant is part of the old tower that has been converted into an impressive place to enjoy the delicious and varied Greek specialities from the chef or taste the Greek wines from the old cellar.

Hotel Nemesis "Νέμεσις"

Ocean View Hotel

As the name suggests this Hotel over looks the Aegean Ocean and is the classical beach Hotel. 27 km outside of Kavala the 30 room Hotel stands above a beautiful beach and  overlooking the crystal waters of the warm sea.

A busy but relaxing modern Hotel with a traditional Greek restaurant nest to the swimming pool where you will certainly enjoy the views. The private beach has its own beach bar if you would prefer to relax closer to the sea over a tasty cocktail.

Dasiko Horio "Δασικό Χωριό" “Village of the Forest Hotel”

The Imaret Hotel

The ultimate in luxurious Hotels, the Imaret is for those wishing to indulge in lavish surroundings and feel totally pampered.
