Elatia forest is around 60 km from the centre of Drama stretching along the border of Bulgaria. The journey up to Elatia has breath taking scenery and interesting old villages to pass through, Dams, streams and springs to visit before entering the forest itself.

It is one of the most beautiful forests in Greece with the only Spruce trees in Greece and the most Southern in Europe with 90% of the area covered by the forest. There is an abundance of species of trees, bushes, roses, plants and flowers to be admired, many of which are rare to Greece.
