The Nevrokropi Valley can be found close by Falakro and visitors are often met by a misty fog covering the mountainous area. It’s well known for its hard winters, but often the natural beauty is over-looked and taken for granted by the locals.Nevrokropi is famous for the most delicious potatoes and beans which can be sampled in the local tavernas.

Found in this area are the fortifications left from the 2nd World War where there are underground passages and chambers and a small museum that can be visited with permission from the Greek Military service. The area played an important role in the National struggles for independence which can still be felt in the atmosphere and the hearts of the people.
